METS NEWS AND NOTES:

FIVE WINS: With a win tonight, the Mets would be five games over .500 for the first time since losing to the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 19, 2010 (49-44)...This is the fifth time the Mets have been four games over .500 (4-0, 6-2, 7-3, 13-9 and 17-13) this year...The last time the Mets won five in a row was July 25-29, 2011.

METS VS PHILLY: With wins on Monday and Tuesday, the Mets won their second series at Philadelphia this year...The Mets took two of three from the Phillies, April 13-15...The last time New York won two series at Philadelphia was in 2008...The last time the Mets swept a three-game series at Philadelphia was June 13-15, 2006...The Mets swept a three-game series from the Phillies at Citi Field May 26-27, 2010...After this series, the Mets only have one trip to Philadelphia remaining on the schedule, August 28-30...The Mets host the Phillies at Citi Field for the first time on May 28-30.

METS VS NL EAST: The Mets are 12-5 (.706) vs. the National League East this year...That winning percentage is the best for any team vs. teams in its own division this year (minimum of five games)...St.Louis is second (16-11, .593 vs. NL Central)...The Mets play the Marlins on Friday in Miami...That series will be the Mets’ seventh
vs. an NL East team already this season...New York is 4-2 in those previous six series.

METS COMEBACKS: Ten of New York’s 17 wins have been come-from behind victories, including last night...The Mets are tied with the Braves for the most comeback wins in the majors...New York has five come-from-behind victories on the road.

TWO-OUTS SITUATIONS: The Mets scored five of their seven runs last night with two outs, including all four runs in the seventh inning and have scored 10 two-out runs in this series...Over its last 14 games, New York has scored 40 runs with two outs...The Mets have scored 67 runs with two outs this year, the most in the majors...The Mets are hitting .294 with two outs, the highest average in the majors...New York’s pitching staff has allowed 52 runs with two outs, tied for the
10th most in the majors.

Snake Meeting:
Last night was the 100th meeting between the Mets and Diamondbacks...The Mets are 50-50 all-time vs. Arizona...New York is 24-27 at home and 26-23 in the desert.

FALLING BEHIND EARLY:
The opposition has scored first in five of New York’s last six games.

WRIGHT:
David Wright is second in the National League and third in the majors with a .395 batting average...Wright leads the majors with a .505 on-base percentage...He is tied for fourth in the majors with 19 walks and ninth with a .580 slugging percentage.
