Mets Fan Poll Results: Terry Collins the Man for Mets Manager

Mets Fan Poll Results:

We started a poll last month and the response was ok, out of the near 200 that voted. In the beginning of the poll, many ran with the Backman vote, with out of the organization running a close second. In the later stages of the poll, the Mets made inclinations about them going to bring back Terry and many Mets fans agreed to the news. Terry Collins has made believers out of the Mets Fans..

Right Now as it stands,

Terry Collins has 47% of the vote
Wally Backman is behind at a 38%
Out of the Organization is last at 14%
1% wanted Howard Stern, LOL

I am going to take down this poll because basically most likely Terry will be brought back for 2014 and beyond. An announcement is expected to take place after the season ends officially.

Where Wally Backman lands may not be with the Mets, because the Mets front office is not too happy with many of his off the field quotes and antics.

I posted last night that the results became consistent with Mets Fans wanting Wally Backman to be the next manager of the New York Mets. The results were Backman (48%) and Collins (40%).

Today is a different story, since the Mets have released some info that  Terry Collins might be resigned at least for one more year, Mets Fans have sighed with Collins..

10% of Mets Fans want Elvis Andrus to take over at SS

7% want Matt Kemp in the outfield...

Mets Fans by State:

Sandy Alderson told reporters pregame Monday things are quiet on the trade front.

"Sometimes things happen early. Sometimes they happen late," the GM said. "But very seldom does anything happen in between. We're kind of in that in-between period right now. So, as we move closer to the deadline, things will pick up. But we've had very little in the way of conversations."

Mets Fan Poll Results 2: The Fans Want Santana Outta Here!

I took a poll in late September and I left if up.  I Asked Who the Mets Should Trade This Off-Season? Of the Many that Voted, many seemed that Johan Santana should be the logical choice to be traded.

So Much for the 1st Mets No-Hitter, LOL !

I Agree with the fans, I think the Mets should trade Santana and his salary for other parts.. I think the Mets will Look to trade Lucas Duda and/or Daniel Murphy (because his value is up). Murphy can be replaced by Jordanny Valdespin, who is playing winter ball at 2B.

If the Mets don't come to agreements with either Dickey or Wright this off-season maybe the Mets make a big slash by trading one or both of them, but expect the Mets to make the safe move and let them play out their final year until the trading deadline.

If You Have Not Voted Click Here

Here are Poll Results in Percentages:

Johan Santana 33%
Lucas Duda 23%
Daniel Murphy 16%
David Wright 11%
Ike Davis 9%
R.A. Dickey 8%

please trade santana, please, please, please, please....trade bay, please trade them both, and every relief pitcher who played this season with the exception of parnell. get a solid catching prospect, and proven relief pitching. and cash to pay the contracts of wright and dickey.

Mets Chronicle Poll Results: Mets Wins, Direction of Organization

We have posted polls on Mets Chronicle, the 2 polls that have gotten my attention are the total of wins the Mets will have in 2012 and if Mets fans are happy with the direction the organization.

Mets Fans seem pretty pessimistic about their favorite team. According to our polls, Mets Fans (Majority) think they will only win between 61-80 wins , but there are some that believe the can win between 81-90 (which I am in that minority). Mets Fans apparently are not happy with the direction of the organization (66%). I guess that would have a lot to do with the loss of Jose Reyes and the major decrease in payroll ($50 Million)..

Here are the results:

How many wins do you think the Mets will have in 2012?

Selection Votes
Under 60 Wins 8% 38
61-70 Wins 27% 137
71-80 Wins 37% 186
81-90 Wins 24% 120
91-100 Wins 3% 13
Over 100 Wins 1% 5
499 votes total

Are you happy with the direction of the Mets organization?
