Recap:

Melky Cabrera's two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning accounted for the only scoring in the Toronto Blue Jays' 2-0 victory over the New York Mets at Montreal's Olympic Stadium.

Cabrera belted the first pitch he saw from Adam Kolarek over the wall in left with Moises Sierra aboard and the game still scoreless with two outs in Toronto's half of the eighth. Both Cabrera and Sierra finished with two hits, as did Adam Lind.

Four Blue Jay hurlers combined to hold the Mets to two hits, with Brandon Morrow recording eight strikeouts over the first 5 2/3 innings and Aaron Sanchez fanning three of the six hitters he faced over the final two frames.

Mets starter Daisuke Matsuzaka also struck out eight while yielding five hits over five scoreless innings.

The game was the final one for both teams before each begins its regular season on Monday. The Mets will host Washington and the Blue Jays visit Tampa Bay.

Recap:

Ricardo Nanita drove in the game-winning run with a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth, as the Toronto Blue Jays rallied for a 5-4 win over the New York Mets on Friday in a spring training matchup from Olympic Stadium.

Edwin Encarnacion finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while Jose Bautista belted a solo homer for the Blue Jays, who saw starter Mark Buehrle surrender two runs on four hits and one walk over four innings.

Chris Young clubbed a two-run double and Travis d'Arnaud added a solo blast for the Mets. New York starter Jenrry Mejia allowed one run on five hits over four innings of work. David Wright went 2 for 4 with
a Triple in the loss.

Recap:

Carlos Corporan and L.J. Hoes keyed a seven-run seventh inning with a pair of two-run doubles and the Houston Astros came back to top the New York Mets, 9-6, in spring training play.

Mets starter Dillon Gee held Houston hitless through six frames, the Astros came alive in the seventh inning and plated two more insurance runs in the eighth. Corporan and Chris Carter each scored twice, while Hoes led the way with three runs batted in.

Gee struck out seven and walked just one batter, while his counterpart Scott Feldman went 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits.

Anthony Recker hit his third home run of the spring for the Mets, and Juan Lagares went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Andrew Brown also went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.

Mets bullpen was horrendous in this one, John Lannan, Gonzalez Germen, Carlos Torres and Jose Valverde all combined for 2 innings, 9 hits, 8 earned runs, 3 walks, and  2 K's...

Spring Training Recap: Mets 7-3 losers to Nationals....Travis d'Arnaud did hit a wind blow HR off Stephen Strasburg

Matt Harvey and the Mets have settled on a rehab plan. During the season’s first couple of months, Harvey will rehab in New York when the Mets are at home and work out in Port St. Lucie when the big-league club is away from Citi Field. Once he begins expected mound work in June, the rehab will shift nearly exclusively to the team’s Florida complex. Read Here

Recap:

Mets Starter Bartolo Colon not only drove in a run with single , but he went 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits, 2 runs, striking out 3 in a 10-2 romp over the Marlins.

Wilmer Flores had a great day at shortstop going 3 for 5 with a HR and 4 RBI's. Chris Young went 3 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored. He also stole 2 bases which was good to see.

Catcher Travis d'Arnaud, who has been quiet of late in a 0-21 slump took Brad Hand over the left field wall for his first homer of the spring.

Ike Davis, who is battling Lucas Duda for the first base position went 1 for 3 with a two run HR late in the ball game.

Eric Young Lead off the game went 1 for 3 in the contest and had two stolen bases to his credit.

Mets Starting to put it all together as there are nine days left to Opening Day.

Other Notes: Kyle Farnsworth pitched a 1/3 of a inning in relief of Colon. Vic Black got a inning of work and Gonzalez Germen got the last inning to seal the deal. Mets had 13 hits and scored 19 runs in the last two days... LGM!

Recap:

Mets outhit the Marlins over nine innings, but scored no runs... Ruben Tejada, Matt den Dekker, Chris Young, Josh Satin, Matt Reynolds, Brian Burgamy had a hit a piece. Mets left 11 runners on base and failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

The good news, Starting Pitcher Zack Wheeler went 4 2-3 innings, giving up 3 hits, 1 run (solo HR to Jarrod Saltalamacchia ), 1 walk, while striking out 2.

Reliever Scott Rice Pitched one shutout inning, while striking out 2.. Reliever Jose Valverde Pitched a perfect 1 1-3 innings, while striking out 1... Jeurys Familia pitched a perfect 8th..
