The New York Mets still looking for their next manager have their choices dwindling down to three. Ron Gardenhire took the Tigers job and Alex Cora is expected to take the Red Sox job.

The Mets would like to make an official announcement by next Tuesday to who is gonna lead the blue and orange.

NY Post's Joel Sherman says the Mets front office is leaning on Kevin Long or Manny Acta as their next skipper and the outside chance that Joe McEwing could get the job.

There have been no reports as to Mickey Callaway being seriously considered for the job.

Sandy Alomar Jr. has been mentioned to be interviewed by the Mets, but he also looks to have an outside shot at the job.

My guess is that the Mets will give Kevin Long the position because he has been with the Mets for awhile and knows the team. But since he does not have any managerial experience he will have to be paired with a bench coach that does.

It's going to be interesting on how the Mets approach this and see how they handle their choice of management and coaching staff.
