Mets Minor League Roundup 4/15: Diehl's four RBIs Lead St.Lucie Past Florida 

Mets AAA - Las Vegas 4, Sacramento 1: Gavin Cecchini scored on an error in the first inning, leading the Las Vegas 51s to a 4-1 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Saturday. The play, part of a two-run inning, gave the 51s a 1-0 lead before Amed Rosario hit an RBI single later in the inning. After Las Vegas added two runs in the third, the River Cats cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Christian Arroyo scored on a ground out. Kevin McGowan (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Sacramento starter Joan Gregorio (0-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game. Paul Sewald gave up one run in 1 1/3 innings and recorded his second save of the season. The River Cats left some scoring opportunities on the table, stranding 13 baserunners in the loss. BOX

Mets AA - Erie 5, Binghamton 1: Jeff McVaney hit a two-run home run and had two hits as the Erie SeaWolves defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 5-1 on Saturday. Erie started the scoring in the first inning when McVaney hit a two-run home run. The SeaWolves later added single runs in the second, third and fourth innings to secure the victory. Erie left-hander Matt Crouse (1-0) picked up the win after allowing one run on four hits over five innings. Opposing starter Casey Delgado (0-2) took the loss in the Eastern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and seven hits over three innings. Matt Oberste doubled and singled for the Rumble Ponies. BOX

Mets A (ADV) - St.Lucie 9, Florida 5: Jeff Diehl hit a two-run homer in the second inning, and Jhoan Urena homered and had three hits as the St. Lucie Mets topped the Florida Fire Frogs 9-5 on Saturday. The home run by Diehl capped a three-run inning and gave the Mets a 3-1 lead after J.C. Rodriguez hit an RBI double earlier in the inning. The Mets later added two runs in the fourth and four in the eighth. In the fourth, Urena hit a solo home run, while Rodriguez hit a two-run single and then scored on a two-run double by Diehl in the eighth. St. Lucie right-hander Nabil Crismatt (1-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on just three hits over six innings. Opposing starter Touki Toussaint (1-1) took the loss in the Florida State League game after allowing five runs and six hits over five innings. Johnny Magliozzi gave up three runs in two innings and recorded his first save of the season. For the Fire Frogs, Tyler Neslony homered, doubled and singled, scoring two runs. Jonathan Morales homered and singled, driving home three runs. BOX
