|In Terry, they trust|
The New York Mets may not reach their goal of finishing with their first winning record since 2008, but it appears that they could make enough progress to save manager Terry Collins' job for at least another year.
CBSSports.com had first reported that Collins is "likely" to return. The Mets declined to comment, and general manager Sandy Alderson has not confirmed it nor commented about it to the media.
There is a sense that the organization is moving in the right direction, and also that some of the young players have responded to Collins' leadership.
That means all fans like myself who have been waiting for Wally Backman to be the next Mets manager will have to wait. Question is, Will Wally stay a additional year with the organization in the minors???
