Mets AAA - LAS VEGAS 6, ROUND ROCK 5: Cory Vaughn's three-run homer in the sixth staked the 51s to a 6-0 lead. Cory Mazzoni took a shutout bid into the eighth, when Round Rock exploded for five runs against him and Miguel Socolovich. Chasen Bradford entered and stranded the tying run at second base by striking out Luis Sardinas.Box

Mets AA - BINGHAMTON 5, AKRON 2: Steven Matz tossed five scoreless innings and struck out six and T.J. Rivera went 3-for-4 as the B-Mets completed a three-game sweep. Matz (6-4) has allowed one earned run in his last 25 innings. Binghamton tagged Akron starter Will Roberts for three first-inning runs. Brandon Nimmo led off with a double and moved to third when Dilson Herrera singled. Brian Burgamy walked to load the bases. Jayce Boyd then singled to plated Nimmo for the game's opening run. Darrell Ceciliani's sacrifice fly scored Herrera. The final run of the frame scored on Rivera's RBI single. An inning later, Wilfredo Tovar singled and stole second. Herrera then hit a one-out pitch to deep center. Ollie Linton made the catch, but fell afterward. That allowed Tovar to score from second base for a 4-0 lead. The B-Mets scored again in the fifth on Xorge Carrillo's sacrifice fly. Akron got on the board in the seventh on a leadoff homer by Anthony Gallas against Randy Fontanez. Adam Kolarek surrendered a run in the ninth that capped the scoring. At 81-52, Binghamton achieved a new high-water mark for the season. Mets High A - ST. LUCIE 3, JUPITER 2: Mets starter Kevin McGowan took a no-hit bid into the seventh and relievers Ryan Fraser and Paul Sewald worked out of jams. McGowan earned his first win since June 30. He allowed three hits and one run in 6 1/3 innings. Albert Cordero had a two-out solo homer in the second against Scott Lyman. Gilbert Gomez followed with a walk and steal. Eudy Pina plated him with a double for a 2-0 lead. McGowan pitched around three errors in the first inning -- two committed by him -- and a fourth error to open the third. After that last miscue, McGowan retired 12 straight batters. Blake Barber broke up the no-hit bid with a leadoff single in the seventh. Cody Keefer followed with a single that advanced Barber to third. Juan Avila's bunt single scored Barber to slice St. Lucie's lead to 2-1. Fraser eventually entered with runners on the corners and got a comebacker from Anthony Gomez. The reliever caught Keefer between third and home for the second out. After a walk loaded the bases, Fraser got Ryan Goetz to ground out. Fraser walked back-to-back batters with one out in the eighth and threw a wild pitch to advance both runners. However, he got a lineout that did not advance the runners and Avila grounded out to strand two in scoring position. In the bottom half, Gilbert Gomez had a bases-loaded infield single and L.J. Mazzilli scored to increase the lead to 3-1. The first two batters of the ninth singled against Sewald. After a sac bunt moved the runners to second and third, Goetz grounded out to plate a run and make it 3-2. Sewald then retired Noah Perio as Jupiter stranded the tying run at third base for the third straight inning. Sewald converted his 11th save in 11 chances. Box

Mets Low A - GREENVILLE 8, SAVANNAH 5: Starter Alex Panteliodis allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks in two innings. Champ Stuart had a solo homer in a three-run ninth as the Gnats closed within three runs. Paul Paez contributed three scoreless relief innings. Box

Mets RK - KINGSPORT 9, JOHNSON CITY 1: Persio Reyes (1-0) tossed seven scoreless innings for the K-Mets. Oswaldo Caraballo went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Ivan Wilson also drove in three runs. Box

Mets A - SS - BROOKLYN 10, TRI-CITY 1: Michael Conforto went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Jhoan Urena, Tyler Moore and Michael Bernal drove in two runs apiece. Marcos Molina allowed one run on one hit and five walks while striking out eight in 6 2/3 innings. Box
