ROME 3, SAVANNAH 2: John Mincone inherited a runner on second base with two outs in the bottom of the eighth from Dawrin Frias and surrendered a tiebreaking RBI single to Carlos Franco. Yeixon Ruiz had a run-scoring triple and Champ Stuart followed with a sacrifice fly as the Gnats had pulled even at 2 in the fourth. Savannah starter Logan Taylor allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings.
