Mets Minor League Roundup 8/13: Matt Reynolds hits two triples, drives in three in Vegas win

Mets Minor League Roundup 8/13:

Mets AAA - LAS VEGAS 6, IOWA 4: John Lannan allowed three runs in six innings for his second Triple-A win of the season. Matt Reynolds had two triples and three RBIs today for the Las Vegas 51s in a 6-4 victory at the Iowa Cubs. Las Vegas (70-55) trailed 3-2 before Reynolds’ three-run triple in the fifth inning gave the 51s the lead for good.  Iowa put two runners on base in the ninth inning with one out, but 51s closer Ryan Reid recorded the final two outs to end the game. Josh Satin went 2 for 3 for Las Vegas and Cesar Puello scored two runs. ERIE 8, BINGHAMTON 6: The B-Mets had 23 hits in two games, but were swept in a doubleheader by the SeaWolves. First baseman Brian Burgamy had two doubles for Binghamton in the opener, while starter Greg Peavey allowed five runs in six innings for just his third loss against nine wins. The B-Mets rallied from an 8-0 deficit in the second game, after starter Angel Cuan gave up six runs in three innings. First baseman Jayce Boyd had three hits, and right fielder Travis Taijeron hit a three-run home run. Box 1, Box 2

FORT MYERS 7, ST. LUCIE 3: Designated hitter Jared King went 4-for-4 as the Mets won the opener, with Michael Fulmer allowing just one run in six innings. Kevin McGowan allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings in the second game. Box 1, Box 2

Mets Low A - SAVANNAH 4, ASHEVILLE 1: The Sand Gnats took advantage of four Tourists errors to score three unearned runs. Starter Octavio Acosta allowed one run in eight innings. Box

Mets RK - KINGSPORT 10, BRISTOL 4: Left fielder Vicente Lupo went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs. Oswald Caraballo and Wuilmer Becerra also homered. Starter Andrew Church allowed two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Box

BROOKLYN 3, LOWELL 2 (8 innings): Jhoan Urena's walk-off single gave the Cyclones a split of their doubleheader. Kelly Secrest pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief for the win. The Cyclones were held to just four hits, all singles, in the seven-inning first game of a doubleheader. Starter Scarlyn Reyes allowed two earned runs in five innings. Box 1, Box 2

Mets RK - GCL METS 4, GCL NATIONALS 0: Starter Jose Celas allowed just one hit in five shutout innings, and Adonis Uceta followed with three hitless innings. Second baseman Milton Ramos drove in three of the Mets runs. Box
