The Mets may have a suitor for pitcher Bartolo Colon. According to a report by ESPNDeportes.com, the San Francisco Giants have shown an interest in the right-hander.
Colon, 41, has a 4.12 ERA in 19 starts this season and is in the first of a two-year, $20 million deal.
But a report by the New York Post said that deal would only happen if the Mets took on a good portion of the $11 million Colon is owed next season.
Told teams have started calling the Mets about Bartolo Colon, though nothing's close. Mets gauging market; don’t seem inclined to eat money.

Heard Mets trying hard to move Bartolo Colon, which isn’t exactly a surprise. Also no surprise: Dodgers trying hard to move Kemp.

Matt Kemp is an intriguing name that could help the Mets. The Mets do need an outfielder that has pop and probably fits best as a corner outfielder since Juan Lagares is not going anywhere. Considering the $117 million left on Kemp’s deal, the Dodgers will have to eat an awful lot of money to make any trade happen.
