The New York Mets will look to steal one away from the hot hitting Colorado Rockies, who are down two in a four game series..

Colorado could get Carlos Gonzalez back in the lineup Saturday night against the visiting New York Mets as it shoots for a sixth victory in seven games. One of the few Rockies struggling has been Gonzalez, who sat out Friday with a left index finger injury but said he should be ready for this contest. Gonzalez hit .311 from 2010-13, but he's batting just .245 on the season.

He homered in each of his last two games, though, including Thursday's series-opening 7-4 win before suffering the injury. Gonzalez is hitting .474 with two homers in his last five against the Mets (15-13), who entered this series having won seven of nine.

The Rockies (18-13) scored at least 10 runs for the fifth time this season Friday, as Charlie Blackmon homered, Troy Tulowitzki drove in three runs and Nolan Arenado extended the majors' longest hitting streak to 22 games in a 10-3 win.

Justin Morneau and Wilin Rosario had two RBIs apiece for Colorado, which has outscored opponents 40-22 over its last six. Tulowitzki is batting a major league-best .385, and is 10 for 17 with two homers and eight RBIs over his last five.

Blackmon is second to Tulowitzki with a .380 average.

Granderson hit a two-run homer Friday, and Juan Lagares added two hits to extend his hitting streak to 11.

New York has lost five of six meetings at Coors Field.

The Mets will look to get back on track behind Jenrry Mejia, who is coming off his worst outing of the season. After posting a 1.99 ERA through is first four starts, Mejia (3-0, 3.49 ERA) gave up six runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings of a 7-6, 10-inning loss to Miami last Saturday.

The right-hander gave up five of those runs in the sixth inning after entering the frame with a 5-1 lead.

Mejia will set a new career high with his sixth start in a season while looking to shut down the high-scoring Rockies. He gave up two runs -- one earned -- and struck out seven over 5 1/3 innings of New York's 3-2 victory (no decison) in his only start against Colorado on Aug. 6.

The Rockies will counter with Franklin Morales as he looks to win a fourth straight start.

Morales (3-1, 4.40) has a 3.00 ERA during his run after allowing four runs in five innings of Monday's 8-5 victory over Arizona. He had allowed one run in each of his previous two starts.

The left-hander has never made a start against the Mets, posting a 6.23 ERA with no record and one save in seven relief appearances. Curtis Granderson has good numbers off Morales.. He is batting 3 for 5 with a HR and 2 walks...
