Mets Minor League Roundup 5/9:


Mets AAA - LAS VEGAS 6, SALT LAKE 3: Rafael Montero pitched 5 1/3 hitless innings for the 51s, before leaving the game because he had already thrown 98 pitches. Montero walked three and struck out five. Reliever Buddy Carlyle gave up a double to Taylor Lindsey, the first Salt Lake batter he faced in the sixth. Daniel Muno and Andrew Brown homered for Las Vegas. Brown has six home runs in just 15 Triple-A games this season, along with the one homer he hit for the Mets on Opening Day. Zach Lutz had two hits and drove in two runs. Josh Edgin pitched the ninth for his second save. Box



Mets AA - HARRISBURG 4, BINGHAMTON 3: The B-Mets tied the game on Kevin Plawecki's two-run single in the eighth, but Chase Bradford allowed a ninth-inning run that gave Harrisburg the win. Cutter Dykstra, the 24-year-old son of ex-Met Lenny Dykstra, scored the winning run after a leadoff single and a stolen base. Plawecki drove in all three Binghamton runs, the other coming on a fifth-inning homer, his first in Double-A. Starter Matthew Bowman gave up three runs, two earned, in six innings. Box

Mets High A - ST. LUCIE 9, PALM BEACH 1: Luis Cessa allowed went eight innings for his second win of the season, allowing one run on four hits. The 22-year-old right-hander from Mexico became the first St. Lucie starter this season to finish the eighth. Shortstop Phillip Evans drove in three of the St. Lucie runs, with a double and two singles, and started a double play after a diving stop behind the second-base bag. Dilson Herrera, Brandon Nimmo and T.J. Rivera also had three-hit nights for the Mets, who had 19 hits in all. Box

Mets A - SAVANNAH 5, WEST VIRGINIA 1: Miller Diaz won his third straight start for the Sand Gnats, allowing a run on three hits in 5 2/3 innings and lowering his ERA to 2.08. A Jorge Rivero triple was the only extra-base hit for the Gnats, who scored all their runs in the fourth inning. Victor Cruzado had two of Savannah's seven hits. Box
