Mets Minor League Roundup 4/30: Syndergaard gets win for Vegas

Mets Minor League Roundup 4/30:

Mets AAA - LAS VEGAS 6, RENO 1: Noah Syndergaard limited Reno to one run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven in seven innings. He sliced his ERA to 3.94 with the 96-pitch performance. Juan Lagares went 2-for-4 and was hit by a pitch in what is expected to be his final rehab start. The 51s broke a 1-all tie with a five-run seventh that included run-scoring hits by Zach Lutz and Wilmer Flores. Flores was out of the starting lineup with continued swelling in the finger he jammed Sunday, which makes it difficult to throw. Box

Mets AA - BINGHAMTON at AKRON (ppd).: The game will be made up as part of a June 10 doubleheader at 5:35 p.m.

Mets High A - CHARLOTTE 6, ST. LUCIE 1: Starter Steven Matz allowed two runs on six hits and four walks in five innings. The Stone Crabs added four runs in two innings against reliever Julian Hilario. St. Lucie's lone run opened the scoring in the second inning and was unearned. Leadoff batter Gilbert Gomez walked, advanced to second on a walk to Eudy Pina and scored on an error by Charlotte pitcher Leonel Santiago. Matz's ERA rose to 1.88. Box

Mets A - SAVANNAH 1, DELMARVA 0: Ricky Knapp allowed four hits and no walks while striking out six in 7 1/3 scoreless innings. Knapp, an eighth-round pick last year out of Florida Gulf Coast University, earned his first professional win. He combined with Dawrin Frias and Akeel Morris on the shutout. Morris allowed two consecutive singles to open the ninth, but earned his first save. The lone run came in the fifth on a bases-loaded wild pitch by Steven Brault. Victor Cruzado, who had singled to open the inning, scored. Dominic Smith and Colton Plaia each went 2-for-3, including producing consecutive singles in the fifth to advance Cruzado to third base -- Smith's via bunt. Box
