Mets News: John Lannan could be second lefty in Mets Bullpen

Mets News:

According to multiple reports, John Lannan could get a look as the second lefty in the Mets Bullpen. Right now, Scott Rice is the only lefty that has secured a pen spot.

The Mets still have Lannan in the competition for the fifth spot in the rotation as he will get the start against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

The Mets also have Daisuke Matsuzaka and Jenrry Mejia in search for the fifth spot as well, which is why he might be pushed to the pen.

It has been reported that Lannan has no problems switching to a bullpen role if needed be, as long as it helps the team.

All 148 of Lannan’s career big-league appearances have come as a starting pitcher.
