Mets News: Ike Davis' season officially over

Mets News:

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN,  Ike Davis received an anti-inflammatory injection during an examination at the Hospital for Special Surgery on Tuesday.

This comes to no great surprise to his teammates since Davis said his farewells Monday before departing Atlanta, but Terry Collins expects Davis is done for the season.

It has been said in many reports that Ike Davis could be retained next season or used as Trade Bait in the off-season. In the meantime, the Mets will be taking a look at Josh Satin and Lucas Duda who will not be used in the outfield anymore..
