Mets News: Closer Frank Francisco joining the Mets in Cleveland
According to ESPN's Adam Rubin, Frank Francisco is due to rejoin the Mets this weekend in Cleveland. He most recently had been rehabbing with Double-A Binghamton, which was eliminated from the Eastern League playoffs on Friday.
Francisco underwent seemingly harmless surgery to remove a bone spur from his right elbow last Dec. 18, yet continued to complain of discomfort throughout this season and has yet to appear at the major league level in 2013.
Francisco is making $6.5 million this season, so he still is owed $817,000.
