MLB's Best and Worst Teams (Thru 7/29):


I have compiled the best and worst teams from both leagues. These ranks are based on run differential which gives you a better understanding on how each teams offense and pitching staffs are....Secondly, I added their playoff chances based on ESPN's rankings.. At this point, the Yankees have a 12% chance of the playoffs while the Mets have only a 2% chance.. According to the ranks compiled, the Yankees are the 7th worst team in the AL and the Mets are the 6th worst in the NL. Numbers don't lie.

AL's Best Teams:
  1. Tigers - 89%  (Chance of Playoffs)
  2. Red Sox - 89%
  3. Rays - 91%
  4. A's - 92%
  5. Indians - 47%
  6. Orioles - 39%
  7. Rangers - 29%
AL's Worst Teams:
  1. Astros
  2. White Sox
  3. Twins
  4. Mariners
  5. Blue Jays
  6. Angels
  7. Yankees
  8. Royals
NL's Best Teams:
  1. Cardinals - 98%  (Chance of Playoffs)
  2. Braves - 98%
  3. Reds - 84%
  4. Pirates - 96%
  5. Diamondbacks - 34%
  6. Dodgers - 68%
  7. Rockies - 7%
NL's Worst Teams:
  1. Marlins
  2. Phillies
  3. Giants
  4. Brewers
