Mets News: Lucas Duda to DL, Zach Lutz to Mets

Mets News:

Lucas Duda has landed on the disabled list with a left intercostal strain.

The Mets have promoted corner infielder Zach Lutz from Triple-A Las Vegas for Sunday's series finale against the Phillies.

Lutz was hitting .286 (53-for-185) with 11 doubles, seven homers and 37 RBIs in 53 Pacific Coast League games.

Ike Davis was not consideration to replace Lucas Duda, according to team sources.

Davis enters Saturday night with four homers in his past two games with Triple-A Las Vegas, but team officials want to get him more minor league at-bats to ensure he is ready when he returns.
