Mets Minor League Roundup 6/3:

AAA - LAS VEGAS 8, FRESNO 0: Carlos Torres went the distance, tossing a three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Eric Campbell went 3-for-4, scored three times and belted a three-run homer. Box

A - LAKELAND 2, ST. LUCIE 1: Harold Castro’s two-out, two-run double in the fifth against Noah Syndergaard proved to be the difference as Lakeland held off the Mets. Travis Taijeron hit his ninth homer, a solo blast to left in the ninth, to cut the deficit to one run. Taijeron (3-for-4), named Florida State League Player of the Week earlier in the day, has hit safely in eight straight games. He has four homers in his past three games. T.J. Rivera had two hits. Noah Syndergaard suffered his third loss despite allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. He struck out five and walked none. Syndergaard struck out the side in the second. Chasen Bradford and Randy Fontanez pitched two scoreless innings apiece. Fontanez struck out five. The Mets (30-25) finished 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left eight on base. They loaded the bases in the sixth with one out against Lakeland starter Jeff Ferrell, but Dustin Lawley struck out and Aderlin Rodriguez grounded out. Box
