Mets Minor League Roundup 5/6:

Class  AAA - LAS VEGAS 0, SACRAMENTO 0 (suspended): The game was suspended because of rain after Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Collin Cowgill consecutively walked to open the first inning. Box

Class AA - TRENTON 5, BINGHAMTON 0: Cory Mazzoni surrendered four first-inning runs in his return from the disabled list. He ultimately was charged with five runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk in a 57-pitch effort over three-plus innings. Mazzoni had missed 24 games due to right elbow neuritis. With father Tim Teufel watching from the stands, left-hander Shawn Teufel tossed three scoreless relief innings. Adam Kolarek added two scoreless frames. Yankees farmhands Matt Tracy, Aaron Dott and Branden Pinter combined on a two-hit shutout. The B-Mets did not muster a hit until Darrell Ceciliani's one-out single to center in the sixth off the end of his bat. The other hit belonged to Cesar Puello in the seventh, after originally being scored an error. The hit extended Puello's hitting streak to 13 games. The five-run first against Mazzoni began with two hits and Tyler Austin's sac fly. With a runner on third, J.R. Murphy sent a chopper back to the mound. Mazzoni fielded cleanly and threw to third, but Josh Rodriguez muffed the throw, allowing Jose Pirela to dive back safely. The misplay led to three unearned runs on Mazzoni’s tab when Slade Heathcott chipped in with an RBI groundout and Reegie Corona laced a two-run single. Box

Class A - ST. LUCIE 6, DAYTONA 2: Hansel Robles, who had been dealing with an upper-back issue, allowed one run on two hits while striking out five in five innings in his first start since April 21. Rehabbing Frank Francisco allowed one hit in a scoreless frame. Francisco was pitching for the Florida State League club for the second straight day. Second baseman T.J. Rivera went 5-for-5 with two doubles and scored a run. Aderlin Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Rylan Sandoval's fourth-inning double plated Travis Taijeron to open the scoring. Sandoval eventually scored on a groundout. Rodriguez's three-run double highlighted a four-run fifth as St. Lucie built a 6-1 lead. Box

Class A - HICKORY 4, SAVANNAH 3 (8 innings)
HICKORY 5, SAVANNAH 3: In Game 1, the Gnats rallied with a two-run seventh to tie the score at 3 against Crawdads reliever Cody Kendall and force extra innings. The tying run came via an error by Hickory shortstop Luis Marte. In extra innings, however, the Crawdads took advantage of an error by Gnats shortstop Phillip Evans to win the game. With two outs in the 8th, Joey Gallo blooped a double into shallow center to put the winning run in scoring position. Ryan Rua followed with a hard-hit ball up the middle. Evans reached the grounder but drop it trying to take it from his glove. The error allowed Rua to reach and Gallo to score all the way from second. Savannah reliever Jake Kuebler (0-2) took the loss. In Game 2, Savannah took a 2-1 lead in the second on Cole Frenzel's two-run homer, but the 'Dads plated three runs in the bottom half against Luis Cessa. Box 1, Box 2
