Mets Minor League Roundup 5/29:


LAS VEGAS 7, RENO 1: Carlos Torres improved to 4-3 on the season, giving up one run on three hits in 6 2/3 innings of work, with seven strikeouts and one walk. First baseman Josh Satin was 4-for-5 with four RBIs, and is hitting .316 on the season for the 51s (25-26). Shortstop Omar Quintanilla, hitting .333 on the year, was lifted early, and could be promoted to the majors on Thursday to replace Ruben Tejada, who injured a quad on Wednesday in the Bronx. Box

ALTOONA 8, BINGHAMTON 4: The B-Mets (30-23) scored four runs in the first inning, but couldn't make that stand up. Starter Mark Cohoon gave up four runs on five hits in five innings, and four relievers gave up four more runs. Left fielder Cory Vaughn (.294) went 2-for-4, the only Binghamton player with a multi-hit game. First baseman Allan Dykstra (.307) homered, his sixth of the year. Box

ST. LUCIE 7, JUPITER 4: The St. Lucie Mets (29-21) scored four runs in the first inning, and did make it stand up. Starter Alex Panteliodis (2-1, 2.03) went five innings, giving up three runs on four hits, but all three runs were unearned -- shortstop Matt Reynolds made a pair of errors in the game. Third baseman Aderlin Rodriguez (.269) went 3-for-4, and left fielder Dustin Lawley (.242) hit his 11th home run of the season. Box

GREENVILLE 5, SAVANNAH 1: Sand Gnats starter Robert Gsellman (2-2, 3.52) gave up five runs on 10 hits in six innings. No one had a multi-hit game for Savannah (30-21), which had just five hits on the night. Box
