Turner only recently had returned from a sprained right ankle.
Given Opening Day is five days away, it's entirely conceivable Turner opens the season on the DL and both Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Omar Quintanilla make the Opening Day roster.
"It just cramped up," Turner said. "The top of the second inning -- I don't remember who was hitting -- he hit a groundball down the third-base line and it was foul. When I took my first step, I kind of felt it knot up a little bit. I came up to hit in the next inning. And I hit the groundball and I was going down the line and it just cramped up on me. I got out of there and got some treatment on it, and we'll see how it feels tomorrow.
"You know, I think it was a little tight from maybe compensating a little bit for my ankle. I don't know 100 percent. I would bet that has a little bit to do with it. It's not really sore to walk around or stretch or anything. It's more sore to touch. Like I said, when I pushed off is when I felt it. Hopefully I'll just get in and get all the treatment I need and take whatever pills they have and get this thing calmed down in a day or two."
