Guys that I think might help the Mets:

Soto
From a position players stand point of view, the Mets are in need of a right hand hitting catcher. With Geovany Soto non-tendered, they could fill that void if the Mets do choose so...He has been known to have some pop in the past.. In the last 3 years he has averaged a .305 batting average against lefties...

From a pitchers stand point of view the Mets are in need pitching , especially in the bullpen. I highlighted RHP Jair Jurrjens because he is young enough that you can still take a chance with him as he has shown signs of brilliance in the past.. He could be one of those six starter/long reliever guys the Mets could go to. Another candidate would be RHP John Lannan, who the Mets have been prying way from the Nats in the past,  now on the open market..

Other guys that would help the Bullpen would have to be hard throwing LHP Rafael Perez, LHP Daniel Schlereth, and RHP Brian "Fear The Beard"  Wilson. Wilson would definitely give the Mets a new kind of attitude in the bullpen.. Of course, he has been injured and is recovering from Tommy John Surgery and his progress has been slow moving so far..
