Super Powers - Activate, These guys have been red hot
Hey Mets Fans, I know it's been quite a week. I hate watching my team lose too!  It looks as though right now the Mets are not in the hunt for the NL East because we have dropped to 7 Games, but the good news is we are still in the Wild Card Race (above).

The Mets are only 3.5 GB (overall 4th) in the NL Wild Card Standings... Remember two Wild Card Teams will make the playoffs due to the change in league rules.

Atlanta Braves has been the hottest out of the five teams in this race going 8-2 in their last 10 games.. Followed by the surprising Pittsburgh Pirates who have gone 6-4 in their last 10 Games.. The Mets, Dodgers and Cardinals have all climbed out of the second half gate slow playing all under .500.

The Mets will open up an important six game home stand tonight at Citi Field. They open it up with a series against the LA Dodgers, who are 3rd in the wild card standings followed by the Nationals, who lead the NL East... The Mets can make some noise if they play well this home stand, where not only could they gain some ground in the Wild card standings, but they can potentially gain some ground in the NL East.

On Tap:
The Mets will travel to the West Coast after this home stand where they will face the D-Backs, Giants, and Padres.. The Mets are 11-7 against the West this season..

Who's Hot:
In their last 6 games, Andres Torres is batting .476 (10 for 21),  David Wright is batting .375 (9 for 24), Josh Thole is batting .368 (7 for 19).

Who's Not:
The Mets Pitching Staff in their last 6 Games are 1-5 with a 6.04 ERA. The Staff has pitched a total of 50 Innings, giving up 62 hits... Opposing teams have batted .301 in that span... Biggest culprits of disappointment are Bobby Parnell (3 GMS)  .500 (8 for 16), Johan Santana (1 GM) .381 (8 for 21), Chris Young (2 GMS) .343 (12 for 35), RA Dickey (2 GMS) .340 (18 for 53).

Let's Go Mets!  Lets turn this thing around and make people start believing again!
