Reyes and "The CLAW"
Some players on the Mets call it "The Claw" others call it "The Spotlight," whatever you want to call it, we've been seeing a lot of it lately. It started off last season when Reyes made the gesture at Razor Shines, who was then the first-base coach. But it has become more common this season, for two reasons. The routine involves a handful of Reyes' teammates now. And the way he is hitting, he has had more reason to do it. While the Texas Rangers made it famous last season during their World Series run, Reyes has said he picked it up from Miguel Tejada when they played together for the Dominican Republic in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. "I do it for my teammates," Reyes said. "I just want them to have a lot of energy like me." Reyes for President or starting shortstop in the All Star Game Vote Here
