ESPN NY's Adam Rubin, the New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes plans to address a report that he has been in contact with agent Scott Boras, a source close to Reyes said.
Reyes plans to confirm Saturday that he's staying with his current representation, Peter E. Greenberg and Associates, the source said. One of Reyes' current agents, Chris Leible, is the godfather to two of the All-Star's children.
FoxSports.com, citing anonymous sources, reported that Boras -- regarded as baseball's most powerful agent -- has engaged in talks with Reyes about becoming his representative. Reyes, 28, can become a free agent at the end of the 2011 season.
