Final Score: Florida 6, New York 2

Josh Johnson carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning in a solid Opening Day start, leading the Florida Marlins to a 6-2 victory over the New York Mets.

Johnson faced just one batter over the minimum before his no-hit bid was broken up by Willie Harris' double to begin the seventh.

The Mets rallied for two runs in the inning, but couldn't get any more against Johnson and three Florida relievers. Johnson (1-0) left with two outs in the seventh, yielding two runs on just three hits and two walks while striking out three.

As it turned out, the Marlins got all the offense they needed on John Buck's grand slam off Mets starter Mike Pelfrey (0-1) in the fourth inning. Logan Morrison added a solo homer and Gaby Sanchez had an RBI single for the other runs.
