Mets center fielder Angel Pagan left Thursday's game against the Astros with a pulled muscle in his left side, after running into second baseman Justin Turner on a popup in the fourth inning.

Chasing down Hunter Pence's pop to shallow left-center field, Turner backpedaled into Pagan's left side, forcing him to whirl out of the way of further contact. Though he stayed in the game for another two innings, Pagan gave way to a defensive replacement following his at-bat in the bottom of the fifth.

Willie Harris, who has not spent significant time in center field since 2009, manned the position in Pagan's absence.
