"His job is to come in and strike me out," Davis said before the Mets faced the Phillies. "But I'm going to make him not strike me out … Feliciano is a pretty funny guy, so what are you gonna do?"
He said Feliciano wouldn’t be the first to mow him down.
"I did strike out how many times last year?" said Davis of his 138 Ks a year ago. "It's not that tough of a feat."
Yankees GM Brian Cashman started the controversy by saying the Mets "abused" Feliciano by pitching him as much as they did.
