Luis Hernandez's infield single in the bottom of the ninth proved to be the game-winner, as the New York Mets scored four times in the inning to clip the Atlanta Braves, 8-7, in Grapefruit League action.
Brad Emaus, Scott Hairston and Daniel Murphy each added an RBI single in the ninth for the Mets. Jason Bay had a two-run double and knocked in three, while Jose Reyes finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice.
Bobby Parnell earned the win for tossing a scoreless top of the ninth. Mike Pelfrey started, but yielded seven runs -- four earned -- with a pair of strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Alex Gonzalez had two hits, drove in a pair of runs and scored one, while Jason Heyward, Martin Prado and Dan Uggla each knocked in a run apiece for Atlanta.
Brett Oberholtzer suffered the loss after getting roughed up for four runs on as many hits and two walks while recording two outs. Kenshin Kawakami got the start and worked three innings, giving up three runs -- one earned -- on three hits.
