Rich Donnelly will be named Brooklyn Cyclones Manager


Rich Donnelly will be named manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Bergen Record reported.

Donnelly most recently was a minor league instructor for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He served as the third base coach for the Milwaukee Brewers from 2003-05 and the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2006-07.

Wally Backman, who managed the New York-Penn League team last season, is expected to be named manager of the Double-A Binghamton Mets.
