Webb's contract sets the tone for others to sign...

According to Buster Olney of  ESPN, Brandon Webb's deal with the Rangers includes a base salary of $3 million... plus incentives that could bring total package to $8-10MM, Jerry Crasnick says.

That gives teams like the Mets a idea of what many "Low risk / High Reward players" like Jeff Francis and Chris Young can command. The Mets would love to pay anyone of those two pitchers a guaranteed 3 Mil per season since they only have 5 million to spend.

We should hear more rumblings in the next couple of days of where these players will sign.
